Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy complies with the General Data Protection Regulation introduced in May 2018, and provides guidance regarding the collection and use of personal data that you provide to Marc Hermans.

I may modify the provisions of this privacy policy from time to time. The new provisions will be effective as soon as they are posted. Please check this page periodically to ensure that you are aware of any changes.

Contact form

If you use the contact form on my website, you need to submit the following compulsory fields:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Message – i.e. the nature of your enquiry

Newsletter mailing list

To sign up to my newsletter mailing list you will need to provide me only with your name and email address. My newsletters are sent out using Mailchimp’s newsletter service and your email address will be stored on their servers, according to their Privacy Policy. You can access their Privacy Policy here.

Newsletters are sent out every few months with information about any forthcoming exhibitions, workshops and other general news. You may unsubscribe from these newsletters at any time.

I do not sell or rent any personal data to third parties; nor do I share any personal data with others, except with my workshop partners (where applicable).

To honour a contract
When you order something through the website or via any other way I have a contractual obligation to fulfil the order and send your items out to you. I therefore need to obtain information such as your address, which I store and which I also need to pass onto couriers.

I collect personal information in order to deliver the products and service you want, administer my business, provide customer service and be able to communicate special offers unless you have chosen not to receive such offers.

The information I collect may include:

Technical information such as your IP address, your computers operating system, your browser type and the path you take through our website.

Financial information, such as card details provided to us by phone is not stored and is immediately destroyed. My site uses ‘Cookies’ in order to personalise your visit to my web site and help me and my web developer understand how you use the site.
